Recently rejoined the amateur radio ranks in January 2024 (new license - AD9DT) - Extra class.
Originally licensed as WB8VOE Advanced class in 1970's (expired) - and then life got in the way for a few decades :)

Living in Rockford, Illinois, since 1980  (originally from Tiffin, Ohio)

- Yaesu FT-DX10 HF 100w transceiver  (with M-70 mic and Yaesu SCU-LAN10 network box for remoting)
- Ameritron AL-80B 1kw linear amp (single 3-500z tube), usually running at ~700w output
- MFJ-998 auto-tuner

- Software: Ham Radio Deluxe for logging & dx cluster/rig control;   Yaesu SCU-LAN10 and Splashtop remote desktop software for DX10 remoting on Windows PC

Main interest is currently HF SSB and VHF/UHF FM. Actively working toward DXCC and WAS. Also enjoy developing supporting software, an example being the flexible in-page QRZ logbook display I developed, shown further below.

Below is my custom, scrollable logbook display showing approximately 250 QSO records since Feb, 2024. Clicking on "Open Display Editor" (upper left yellow button) allows you to change the multi-level sorting, column layout and fields, and set a number of filters. This logbook table and display editor is generated by a server-side script that gets the raw data via the QRZ logbook API -- there is no javascript on the iframe page, which allows this to display on a QRZ bio page.
I'll soon be making this capability available as a simple drop-in widget (ie, an html iframe code snippet) to any interested QRZ XML-level subscribers -- simply dropping the snippet into your page will allow this type of flexible display of your logbook, tailored as you prefer, on your QRZ bio page or any other personal or club web pages (a full page URL dedicated to the same logbook display would also be available).
If interested, please contact me via email.

Back in the day...

Just for nostalgia, the gear used during my first ham stint in the 1970's (best I can remember): Drake R4A receiver, Hallicrafters HT44 transmitter, Heath SB200 amp, Uniden Tempo 2020 HF transceiver. Inverted V 40 meter dipole.  Lots of CW, and 45 years later I somehow still remember morse code -- go figure.
